o 8+ years of overall experience of which at least 4 years of experience with AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure
o A solid background in Linux/Unix server system administration
Install & configure Linux on physical and virtual systems
Knowldege on kickstart, cobbler or foreman
Linux Servers hardening and performance tuning
Good knowledge of different virtualization environments like VMware, KVM and NAS storage
Knowledge on monitoring tools like prometheus & grafana, ELK
Good understanding of Networking
Knowledge on Linux VDI tools like VNC, NX & opentext ETX
Knowledge on HPC is a plus
o Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like
EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, and Elastic Beanstalk
o Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
o Should have knowledge on hosting and managing micro-services on AWS, with clarity on IAAS and PAAS
concepts
o The ability and skill to train other people in procedural and technical topics
o Self-motivated, results driven individual, passionate about technology
o Experience with Linux Shell Scripting and Python scripting
o Expertise on AWS CLI as well as AWS web console
o Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes,
Maven, and Sonar Qube
o Experience installing and configuring different application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat
o Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
o An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
o Familiarity with AWS networking and routing technologies (VPC, Security groups, NACL, Route53, Load
Balancing and Availability zones)
o Experience with troubleshooting complex distributed environments pertaining to application performance
and monitoring tools
o Experience with cloud scale logging and monitoring solutions
o Experience building custom dashboards and tools to monitor and support the platform
o Experience in Setting up CI / CD Pipeline
o Experience in deploying VPC, Peering and Transit Gateway configurations.
o Experience with Continuous Delivery (CD), which requires familiarity with tools like AWS CodeBuild, AWS
CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline
o An understanding of automation and Jenkins Pipeline development
o Excellent understanding of one of these programming languages – Ruby, Python, Perl, and Java
o Experience in Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, PG
o Very good understanding of AWS security practices like KMS, Secrets Manager, encryption and IAM Roles
o Strong communication and collaboration skills
o Previous exposure to large-scale systems design.
