Key Responsibilities

Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Implement and maintain high availability solutions, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
Manage ASM disk groups, adding and removing disks as needed.
Conduct database patching and upgrades, following established procedures.
Troubleshoot database performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate with application teams to optimize database performance and design.
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.
Stay current with Oracle database technologies and industry trends.

Skill & Experience

Proficiency in Oracle RAC patching and ASM disk management.
Experience with RMAN backups and recovery procedures.
Strong understanding of Data Guard and switch over operations.
Hands-on knowledge of CRSCTL and SRVCTL utilities.
Ability to troubleshoot and address performance issues.
Experience with force logging and its application in standby creations.
Familiarity with single-node database service management.
Effective communication skills for coordinating patching activities and explaining procedures.
Ability to document and articulate solutions clearly.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
Previous exposure to database synchronization and disaster recovery scenarios.
